Nipsey Hussle's brother Blacc Sam revealed the true inspiration behind his new restaurant ahead of its grand opening.

On Saturday, March 1, the late rapper's Marathon brand expanded into the restaurant business with the grand opening of Marathon Burger. The burger joint in Los Angeles, which is located minutes away from the iconic Marathon Store, serves up an array of meals using fresh ingredients and special recipes. Ahead of the restaurant's grand opening, Nipsey Hussle's brother Samiel “Blacc Sam” Asghedom said the idea was inspired by the "Hussle & Motivate" rapper's dream of owning a restaurant.

"Me and my brother, when we were younger, used to work at a restaurant," Blacc Sam explained to KCAL News. "We was back there cooking. We always was like, 'Man when we right, it's time, we need to get a restaurant because already know how to run it."

Marathon Burger doesn't use frozen burgers like other restaurants. Their smash burgers are made to order and items like their pickles are made in-house. Even their milkshakes are made with real Thrifty ice cream. The grand opening of Marathon Burger attracted hundreds of people from the neighborhood, including several celebrities. Real 92.3's Big Boy, The Cruz Show and Bootleg Kev were in the building as well as podcast host Matt Barnes and rappers like YG, NLE Choppa, and Ab-Soul. YG was spotted behind the counter with Blacc Sam as they whipped up some burgers for the people.
