Mariah The Scientist Says She Wants To Settle Down, Talks New Music & More

Mariah The Scientist says she wants to be married with a kid in a few years.

On Saturday night, December 13, the "Burning Blue" singer had fans going wild during her set at Power 105.1's Power Sessions in New York City. Before she took the stage, Mariah sat down with Angie Martinez backstage and discussed her goals for the next five years. She told the veteran radio host that she still wants to work, but she also wants to settle down and get hitched. She doesn't have any kids right now, but she wants at least one child in the future.

"I want to be married," Mariah said. "That's my plan. I can't speak for everybody. That's my plan, though... I want a baby. I want at least one. I'll start with that and see how I can manage."

Mariah didn't name any names, but the Atlanta singer has been romantically linked to Young Thug over the years. The couple was together before the "Money On Money" rapper was arrested in 2022 in connection with a RICO case. Mariah held Thug down while he was in jail and during his trial. The couple reportedly split shortly after he was released from custody. However, they recently led fans to believe that they had reconciled after appearing at a couple of public events together.

Mariah The Scientist also told Angie Martinez that she plans to drop more new music soon. She dropped her fourth studio album, Hearts Sold Separately, in August and has knocked out several collaborations, including her new song with Fridayy, "Death Do Us Part."

Power Sessions featured performances by Mariah The Scientist, G Herbo, Cash Cobain, Zeddy Will, Lola Brooke and more. Check out more backstage interviews with the performing artists and their surprise guests here.
